“Queer it! – Da uno spazio di genere, ad un genere di spazio" Sunday 18th July 2021 from 5 pm you are invited to Parco degli Acquedotti in Rome (entrance via Lemonia - metro A Giulio Agricola) for an interactive installation in collaboration with @stortho.collettivocollective.
“Queer it! – Da uno spazio di genere, ad un genere di spazio" is an interactive installation that invites bodies to take part to a collective experience, as collective is the question it intends to address. Society is still mostly based on hetero-normed models and the space we live in is organized to perpetuate these models, excluding those who do not conform to it. Nevertheless, there is a part of society that refuses the imposition of a stereotyped binary model, reclaiming the existence of an infinitely shaded range of identities: QUEER.
Our urban spaces and domestic architecture are influenced by the system and contemporary events. Today it is worth asking how can our urban space accommodate these requests and guide the changes that have to be made?
How can the space we live in be QUEERED?
The performative Queer space that we invite you to explore on July, 18 is no longer intended as a background for human actions, but as the place where bodies interact with each other, where identities express themselves and take possession of new shapes and meanings.
