These are just a few characteristics that should be a natural part of a modern woman. Today's image of women is to be equated with a constantly smiling superwoman - she should be inexpensive, she should have no extraordinary career claims and great understanding if the male colleague is preferred in a promotion.
For a long time, I thought we were making great strides to overturn these judgments. I mean Germany is a progressive country after all. I eagerly smiled away the men's favor and prepared myself inside for an even more ambitious struggle for recognition.
Casual conversations at Sunday brunches usually begin with the question "So you take care of pillows & colors?", which I proudly answer with "No, I'm an architect.", followed by an astonished: "Oh, you can do houses, too".
Yes, I can! And I can also do the household, which was automatically re-transferred to me during the quarantine.
In the meantime, exhausted from necessary boundaries in the home office, the extra work, since the hourly wages are good 30% below than those from the species testosterone and the resulting yes, so as not to lose any job in uncertain times, I can only learn one thing :
Be strong and say NO! Be strong and stand up for your needs and your values!
Be STRONG: Support The Rights Of Necessary Genderequality
